Prepped at Grand Island Senior High School … lettered once … while competing at 165 pounds, recorded place finishes of first at the Orchard meet, fourth at the Peru State meet, fourth at the Creighton Prep meet and fourth at the state midland meet … earned the Best Lifter Award at the Orchard meet … helped team place second at the Orchard meet … played legion baseball and started for two years … achieved honor roll status every semester.
